T3 -Triiodothyronine or liothyronine is a hormone made by the thyroid gland. It has three iodine molecules attached to its molecular structure. It is the most powerful thyroid hormone, and affects almost every process in the body, including body temperature, growth, and heart rate. This hormone is one of the two most important thyroid hormones and is the active hormone that concentrates on the metabolism of cells.
T4 - Thyroxine is a hormone made by the thyroid gland that has four iodine molecules attached to its molecular structure. T4 and other thyroid hormones help regulate growth and control the rate of chemical reactions (metabolism) in the body.
TSH - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone which is released by the pituitary gland as a signal to the thyroid to release thyroid hormones. If a disruption occurs at any of these levels, a defect in thyroid hormone production may result in a deficiency of thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism).
