I used to be a patient of another HRT company, why do I need updated tests and medical information?
We are a licensed medical company and our doctors are focused on the health and success of the patient. When a new patient starts with us our medical staff needs to make sure that all your health information is current and accurate. Our forms and medical process is designed to help eliminate unnecessary medical risks and provide the information necessary to design and prescribe a successful treatment program. Most HRT companies do not have licensed medical people on-staff and doctors at times are even located in other states which make it almost impossible to verify existing records.
2. How do I find prices on medications?
All of our medications come from our certified pharmacy located locally and once your medical file is approved you will deal directly with the Pharmacy. All prices for medications will be provided at that time and will vary depending on prescribed dosage, brand, and exact therapy prescribed by our doctor.
3. How long does it take to get my medications once the program is approved and prescribed?
Once the treatment plan is approved and the medications are prescribed they will be shipped directly form the pharmacy to you the same day unless the order was processed after the daily cut off time.
4. What are bio-identical hormones?
These lab produced identical hormones are the same hormones that your body naturally produces. Synthetic hormones are also made in a lab but are not identical to your bodies own hormones.
5. Why do men need Testosterone?
Men's testosterone levels decline as they age. Testosterone is responsible for many things such as energy, mental focus, sex drive, muscles structure, bone strength, and the ability to maintain healthy fat levels.
6. Does my insurance cover this?
This depends on your health insurance. NuImage does not bill directly to insurance companies, we can supply you with an invoice and insurance codes to help to submit your claim for reimbursement to your insurance company. Medicare or Medicaid will not cover expenses associated to Hormone Replacement Therapy.
7. Why do different companies have different prices for blood testing?
Hormone replacement therapy is a medical program that should be designed and monitored by doctors. Each doctor determines what they feel are the appropriate tests required to prescribe successful treatment programs. If the appropriate tests are not completed the patient could be at risk for serious health issues. NuImage doctors have determined the panel of tests that they feel best support the successful treatment of HRT.
8. How do I tell if a HRT company is legitimate?
It is important to make sure you are using a legal and legitimate HRT company. Legitimate companies approach HRT from a medical and health perspective, are licensed medical companies, have full time licensed medical professionals on staff, and have real doctors that review and evaluate all cases, and only prescribe and sell medications that are legal and manufactured in the US. Ask the company to provide you proof that they are a licensed medical company.
9. Is NuImage a licensed medical company?
Yes, we are a licensed and insured preventative health care company. We have provided, ultrasound testing, EKG testing, phlebotomy services, sports health exams, and offer over 8000 different blood tests. Because of our medical infrastructure we are perfectly positioned to properly treat and prescribe HRT.
10. What is my normal level of testosterone?
Testosterone levels vary from person to person, and people require different levels to maintain their health appropriately. The normal range of testosterone for males is between 241 and 827 however most people never measure there levels when there body is in full production so there is no baseline for future levels. This is why it is important to frequently monitor your testosterone levels why doing HRT.
11.If I am currently on an HRT program will it effect my blood test results?
Yes, however we will evaluate current medications and the test results and compare them with old tests to determine how your therapy is going and to recommend future treatment.
12. Why should I have my blood tested and monitored?
HRT rejuvenates cells so it is important that we rule out any serious medical condition such as prostate cancer, diabetes or heart disease which can all exist without symptoms or potentially those bad cells could rejuvenate faster. Detecting these diseases as early as possible is absolutely critical to a successful recovery. A simple blood test can provide initial warnings that indicate what is happening and assist you in defining and diagnosing the problem. Frequent testing can help you easily monitor your health by establishing a baseline that you can easily track.
13. Do I have to see a Doctor to get my blood test?
You do not need to see a Doctor to order the actual blood tests. We refer to the same labs as hospitals and physicians use, which are CLIA certified and regulated by all appropriate national and state governmental agencies. Our tests are all reviewed and submitted by our licensed medical staff. Our test panels have been designed and approved by our Medical Director who is a Board Certified physician.
14. I do not feel sick, should I still get tested?
Diseases can be present without symptoms so consistent testing could provide for early detection which could possibly save your life.
15. Do I need an appointment?
No, you do not need an appointment. Once you purchase your test you will be directed to go a lab that is closest to you without having to make an appointment.
16. What are the instructions to be followed before testing?
Depending on the test or tests that are in your panel determines whether there are any special instructions. You will receive this information with your confirmation notification.
17. Should I continue to take my medications before testing?
You should always take any medications that are prescribed by a doctor.
18. Do I need to be fasting?
Yes. It is recommended that you avoid food and liquids for a minimum of 8 to 10 hours before your test, however not all tests require fasting. You should review and follow any specific test requirements before each test.
19. How will I receive my test results?
After completing your lab process, your test results will be automatically sent to us for review by our medical professionals. Once we review your results you will be notified by email, SMS (short message system), or phone.
20. Are the test results accurate?
All testing is done by leading national laboratories that are fully accredited and licensed at the state and national level, which allows for the greatest accuracy within the parameters and limitations of current technology.
21. Are the results and your treatment confidential?
Yes. We respect your privacy and maintain strict confidentiality, our Lab Direct process helps to establish the highest level of confidentially and security.
22. Will I be able to read and understand the results?
Yes. All test results include normal reference ranges, and will highlight abnormal values and place them in a out of range column. A detailed explanation of tests offered can be viewed on the site and you can contact one of our medical staff if you have any additional questions.
23. What if there are abnormal results?
All abnormal results (out of normal range results) should be discussed with your primary care physician.
24. Will a Doctor review my results?
All results will be reviewed by NuImages licensed medical professionals. We recommend that all results be reviewed by your primary care physician as well.
25. When will I get my results?
You can expect to review and print your results within 42 to 72 hours after visiting the lab however; some specialty tests may take longer.
26. Is any of this testing covered by my health Insurance or Medicare?
NuImage does not file insurance claims however some insurance plans have allowances for prevention or wellness benefits. Please contact your insurance provider for this information. NuImage will be happy to supply the necessary codes so you can file for reimbursement. Medicare is not accepted.
27. Where do I go to get my blood drawn?
You will be provided a list of the closest patient service centers that are located within your area.
28. What is a patient service center?
This is a Laboratory Draw center where you will go to have a professional phlebotomist draw your blood or take your urine.
29. Can I get tested today?
You can be tested the same day that you order, providing it is during the Patient Service Center hours of operation.

We may also perform physical exams, consult with primary physicians, and validate and verify submitted medical information. Patients who are found to have signs and symptoms of a legitimate medical and/or health condition are referred to a medical specialist in that field for diagnosis and treatment in a specialized and monitored program. NuImage reserves the right to recommend and use internal and/or external medical specialists for any a patient and all patient information will be protected under all HIPPA laws and regulations. NuImage is not an internet pharmacy and does not dispense, ship, or distribute medications from our facilities or web sites. Any and all medication prescribed by our doctors and/or associated medical associates for medical treatment will be purchased by the patient directly from a US FDA approved pharmacy. All patients are required to fulfill and follow all of the medical instructions and procedures prescribed by doctors and contact us immediately if they have any problems, questions, or concerns. Patients whom are found to have submitted fraudulent information will be terminated from any health program offered by NuImage or any of its affiliates.
